Q: It says I am already logged on at another access point, what do I do?
A: You will need to log in using the manage button instead of surf. From there you will need to click the, "Log off the internet" link.

Q: How do I fix the error, ACCOUNT OVERLIMIT/Unknown Profile?
A: This message indicates that you have exeeded the final WEEKLY account download limit as mentioned on our account policies page.
You have two options:
- You can wait until Friday at 0300 for the download limits to reset (buying more time will NOT fix it).
- You can increase the speed of your account on the account management screen, this will also increase your limits.
(When you do this it adjusts your days to less than what you had to account for the price difference)

A: You will get a transaction ID acknowledging that the transaction completed and that the account was credited. If not, you need to try again.

Q: Will P2P (Kazaa, Limewire, BitTorrent) and VoIP work?
A: Currently these are permitted to run except during the busiest times (2000-0000). We can't guarantee that every P2P program will work. For bittorent, try Utorrent and encrypt the connection if you are having problems.

Q: I keep getting disconnected when downloading a large file, how do I fix it?
A: Try using a download manager that is able to resume broken downloads where they left off. One (Free Download Manager) is available on our downloads page.

Q: What do I get when I sign up for "one month"?
A: You get credit for however many days are in the current month (Feb=28, Mar=31, etc...)ie. Pay on the 12th of this month then you will have access until the 12th of the next.

A: Some credit card companies have a 1% (or higher) surcharge on overseas purchases. Normally this is shown as a separate charge on the statement but can sometimes be combined with the original. This is your credit card companies charge, not ours!

A: Two reasons, cost and fairness. Unlimited downloads would cause havoc and not everyone would get their fair share.

A: Please check your account via the manage button and if you are overlimit, this is why. If not, send us an email. The speed and traffic limit will be reset every Friday at 0300.

A: Not much. The big users of your limit are LARGE file downloads, p2p file sharing software, and windows automatic updates.

Q: How can I make sure my computer isn't downloading or file sharing when I am away?
A: When you are done surfing, don't just leave the PC or shut it off, actually log yourself out of Jackal through the "manage your account" section or by surfing to http://log.me.out and clicking "log off".

Q: Why is my latency so high when I play my game online?
A: Because everything goes over satellite and space and back is a long way for the little bits to travel, there will be at least 700ms latency and 1000-2000ms is normal.

Q: Can I play my Xbox360 or PS3 through Jackal?
A: Yes this is possible but you will need to get the IP Address from your laptop.- Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
- Type: ipconfig
- Write down the IP Address it should look like 192.168.x.x
- You will then need to manually input this into your PS3/Xbox.
The gateway should be 192.168.x.1, the mask will be 255.255.255.0
- Before you use the PS3/Xbox you will need to ensure you have logged in via your PC and then swap the cable to the PS3/Xbox.
We do not support doing this and it might not work, with that said, happy gaming!

Q: How can I determine what my IP address is?
A: Click on your start menu then type "cmd" in the 'run/start search' line and press enter. A black window will appear. Type "ipconfig". Your IP address will be on a line that starts with ' IPv4 Address. . .'. Type "exit" to close the window.
